Burnet Rd. Public Input Meeting, Oct. 18, 6:45pm

As part of the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan (ASMP),the City of Austin Transportation Department is hosting a series of stakeholder meetings, to
gather input for the community’s vision of these two vital corridors. While
this project takes under consideration all of the previous planning done
along the corridors, it is through this process the desires of residents and
businesses will be shared with the various boards and commissions, and
ultimately the Austin City Council, for funding consideration on
the potential 2012 Bond initiative. The development project and priorities
established for these corridors will make them eligible for funding through
revenue bond initiatives, or other sources of monies. ****

Two public meetings were held on September 20 and 22. Now, we are asking you
as a stakeholder, to attend a meeting to give input and share your vision of
how N. Lamar Blvd. (Hwy 183-N. IH-35) and Burnet Rd. (W. Koenig Ln.-N.
Mopac) may better serve those who live, work, play, and go to school along
these corridors. Your input will be added to that received during the public
meetings. In January 2012, we will return to the community with
recommendations, which will also be shared with the various board and
commission, and presented to city council in February 2012, for
possible inclusion
on the 2012 Bond. ****
