Come join your friends and neighbors for another fun-filled morning of community service at It's My Park Day in Brentwood Park!

>> Here’s what we have planned:
Pool Area - weeding, cleanup, tending the plantings
Volleyball Court - Clean up, border maintenance
Park Sign Bed on Arroyo Seco - weeding, cleanup, tending the plantings
Trees - mulching trees throughout the park
Playground Area - refresh the sandbox
General park cleanup

8:45 AM - 9:30 AM - Volunteer sign-in
9 AM - Group Photo
9:15 AM - 12:30 PM - Work in the Park
1 PM - Purple Martin House Dedication!
Park along Arroyo Seco Street on the east side of the park. All volunteers need to stop by the volunteer table near the pool to check in, sign the waiver and pick up your packets. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult who will work alongside them. Each preregistered volunteer gets a super cool commemorative t-shirt, snacks and other goodies. Plus we'll be serving home-baked muffins, coffee from Genuine Joe and breakfast tacos from TacoDeli. Yum!
>> What to wear:
* Closed-toe shoes required!
* A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are highly recommended.
* Long sleeves and long pants advised.
>> What to bring:
* A water bottle and a coffee mug – we’ll have water and coffee, but to keep waste down, bring your own fluids container(s).
* Work gloves
**We need tools! If you are bringing tools please mark them clearly with your name and phone number so we can make sure all tools get back to their owners.**
>> Tools we’ll need:
* Wheelbarrows (if you have, please bring! we never seem to have enough)
* Rigid rakes for spreading mulch
* Pitchforks
* Shovels
* Weeding tools
* Garden forks
* Spades
* Trowels
* Loppers
* Pruners
* Shears

>> Rain Plan:
If it is raining at 8:30 AM, start time will be delayed until 10 AM
If it is raining at 10 AM, workday is postponed until Sunday at 9 AM
If the workday is delayed due to rain, all pre-registered volunteers will receive an update via email.
