Agenda
Arroyo Seco Project Discussion and Vote
The
plan is to stripe the arroyo from Saint Johns to Koenig Lane. Striping will be on interior part to allow
kids to ride their bikes down the street to the school. Beautification part of the project will
consist of addition of benches, trash cans and mutt mitts along the way. CNA needs to come up with their portion of
the dollars for a total of $657 for the section from Piedmont/West Saint Johns
up to Justin Lane. We are voting for or
against to decide if we want the neighborhood association to install the two
benches, trash cans and mutt mitts.
Motion
made to fund the project. Seconded.
Motion
carries with a unanimous vote.
Project Connect – Transit
The
Highland Park NA is calling for Project Connect and the City of Austin to
reaffirm its commitment to bring light rail up the Lamar Blvd. traffic
corridor. A similar resolution brought
by Crestview resident Steven Knapp was requested.
Motion
made to submit resolution to COA.
Seconded.
Motion
carries with a unanimous vote.
Website

implementing a new website which we’ll roll out within the next couple of
weeks. Referred to Ex Council and we will move forward.

and all are currently adopted. Park Workday
Repaired

CNA Park Committee
Second
follow-up meeting on December 09 at McCallum.
Other Current Business
Luminaries
Brentwood
does the luminaries all the way down the arroyo. Brentwood provides sand for milk jug and Karen
provides candles and organizes the volunteers to light them. Reimburse for candles which is about $200.
Motion
made to fund the project. Seconded.
Motion
carries with a unanimous vote.
New Business
Only
neighborhood association that keeps rolling membership. Think we should consider switching to yearly
membership which will make it easier on volunteers who run the organization.
Do we
want to talk about financial guidelines?
No, defer to next month.
Any
other additions to agenda. No.
Next month for the agenda. Park committee person wants to bring forward
Optimist ball fields.
