Kat has someone to suggest who may be new to neighborhood. Brentwood Tag Team removes graffiti right away. Does COA contribute? Yes and PARD. Steven volunteered to help and Ally Thompson. Can get Girl and Boy Scouts involved. Take pictures as evidence.

Budget Committee
Used as basis – revenue over expenses. Past 3 years trending at $2,500.
Treasurer wants a 2nd person to work with him as checks and balances. Try to find an accountant at discounted rate to do AR and books. CAN does AP. Not a Crestview resident to avoid conflict of interest.
Rationale for change – paperwork for AR is more labor intensive.
Membership - Have to keep up with dates. Hours on average per month?
Treasurer would get reports from accountant. Proposal to recruit a 2nd person to perform role.
Action Item – to be decided. How many checks per month? 1 – 4 checks.
Landscape medians are new expense. Will increase over time. Water, mulch, some tree replacements over time. 19 medians. 1 – not planted. Low if annual. Will see how it goes.
Violet Crown – typical annual donation.
Appreciation Dinner – newsletter people, tag team, will put in newsletters too.
Total Revenue about $10,000 and additional $2,500.
Reserves – currently above reserves. Proposing budget approximately $600 below last year’s revenues.
Will get more feedback before we finalize. Used historical data.
Neighborhood Watch
Newsletter item for September. Meeting in September.
Membership
Need to review outdated information.
Traffic Calming
Four places that are most controversial. Tisdale, Grover, Yates and Woodrow/Madison will bring up to the COA.
Adopt A Medians – all medians are adopted. Agreement between coordinator and adopter. Contact person, period, responsibilities, work out reimbursement. Liability – bold statement. Add the word ‘injury’ Kat motioned and Deanna seconded. Approved.
Four trees left and will plant at Arroyo Seco in October.
Crestview Park
Looking into Ryan property to be designated as a park. Yahoo group set-up. Support first, NPCT vote for neighborhood support for park. Will have resolution ready for NPCT meeting. Will send as attachment to Yahoo group by Friday for review. Was posted in August newsletter. Vote at United Methodist Church at 6:30 on Monday. City as a priority list – currently listed as affordable housing. Need to move quickly. Need to work with ombudsman in our neighborhood. Will setup meeting.
Sustainable Neighborhoods on Burnet Road
$20 million for both Lamar and Burnet in bond package. NAs trying to get on same page to prioritize areas on Burnet. $6 or $7 million for Burnet. Will email list. Pedestrian walkways are option. Multiple neighborhood associations working together. Reply to Steve – to send to our board – agree or disagree – then present to COA.
Short Term Rentals
Passed a watered down version. Hold for another month.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Neighborhood signs. COA transportation approves it. We design the sign – CAN and Violet Crown – might be interested on top of your street signs. Will establish sub-committee.
