Crestview Park
Launched survey. Will announce results in November CAN issue and end mid-December. 150 respondents so far. 95% support a park. Good input on issues. Henry Irvine is creating a mock-up of the park. And adding information from survey. Letters of support – one page on the website. Joyce from ANC – next step – to follow-up. PR request park payment in lieu of park land – TOD and all of Crestview and all parks. Copy of ordinance of city council for payment in lieu. City needs a contact person for the park and if dog park need a contact person for that. Make sure we have team established, plans for park, clean-up, fundraisers, etc.
If dog park, Melissa Zone, volunteers to be dog park person.
Austin Parks Foundatin has grant money. Trust for Public Lands also has grants.
Affordable Housing – this neighborhood doesn’t have any identified. Other areas do but not us. Still researching if developers can identify. Need to figure out letters of support. Contact Austin Energy for support. Work with Austin Parks could she attend out next meeting?

Pursue CPA first then discuss newsletter designer. Duties for CPA? Consider membership renewals? Very time consuming. AR – collect dues and advertising and can do taxes.
Need to apply for non-profit status. ANC has an annual meeting to provide information to NAs. Ask Allandale or Hyde Park who they use? Deanna and Kat will check.

Six people at first meeting. Reviewed meeting notes. Goal to have temporary installation in place by 2013 marathon.
Fundraisers. Considering.
Requesting $500 from CAN and $3,500 from Violet Crown. Put in at Burnet at St. Joseph/Morrow area. Apply to COA to install.
Discussion over budget and earmarking $500 for welcome sign. If we earmark this, we still have funds for other projects.

Signs – still need to move forward with some signs. NNO several streets participated. Consider focusing on most active streets.

Stance on Morrow development. Major zoning change. True densification. Planning committee meeting in Sept. City Council this Thursday. PNCT should handle. President will go to Thursday city council meeting to represent.
